That was fast.  Back in February, Bobby Brown was sentenced to 55 days in jail stemming from a DUI arrest last October -- his third such stop. Brown was sentenced after pleading no contest to DUI and driving on a suspended license.

Brown reported to the Los Angeles County Jail Wednesday morning as ordered, but due to prison overcrowding, he served just nine hours in the pokey, according to TMZ.

The gossip site reports Whitney Houston's ex checked into the jail at 9:58 a.m. and was released at 6:58 p.m. -- far less than the nine days he was expected to serve behind bars. Brown was also sentenced to four years probation and ordered to attend alcohol classes for a year and a half.
